So Ubisoft and their Chinese partners recently announced an Assassin’s Creed spin-off (with pirates!) for the Chinese market, and the key art is interesting. Considering how Ubisoft is about female characters in Assassin’s Creed games, the Boobsock + Skirt and thigh highs combo was a bit surprising. A bit tame compared to many of your submissions but it feels kinda out of place with the series, I think.

I am not comforted by the fact that Ubisoft Shanghai proud lists Assassin’s Creed: Women Are Too Hard To RenderUnity as their recent achievements.  It seems that they’re not as committed to representation of female characters as Ubisoft Quebec (of Evie Frye fame) or Ubisoft Sofia and Ubisoft Milan (of Aveline de Grandpré fame).

Really though what baffles me is why they’re so determined to make it look like pretty much every mobile game with a big advertising budget and how nobody at Ubisoft seems concerned with the actual point of a brand.
