Let’s talk about the new Supergirl costume, shall we?

It does look nice, but is there REALLY a reason for her to fight crime in a short skirt?

It could be argued that the skirt is an homage to Supergirl’s traditional outfit, but then we have to point out how Superman’s costume in this universe does NOT honor the iconic briefs-over-tights look.

So, other than redundantly proving that Kara is, in fact a SuperGIRL, what’s the point of the skirt?
