Got commissioned by @destinationisirrelevant to design another dnd character and I can conclude that I love orcs now. (☆▽☆)

@bikiniarmorbattledamage Positive example?

Now that’s an orc design! I love the colors, the variety in textures, and the seam detailing. Also, just buff orc ladies in general. I kind of wish her little cloak was wider, but that’s more of a personal preference.

One thing I wanted to mention is the lipstick, and why I actually like it a lot: we see a lot of “warrior women” on this blog that wear a lot of makeup, and wearing makeup is fine in certain situations. I would not really consider fighting to the death one of those situations for which you get out the smokey eye. However, I do think some minimalist makeup is fine, especially if fighting is an every-day type of thing, like going to work; especially makeup that is easy to reapply if it gets messed up during a fight. Something like lipstick, maybe some mascara that doesn’t smudge. Red lipstick in particular, something the color of blood, could be used to look more fierce, which is why I like it here.

Hope you enjoyed that overlong explanation! Hop on over to the artist’s blog for more awesome character designs (with annotations!), and process pics, which I personally always love to see.
