So, the official explanation for why Samus got her heels is that the developers felt that because she was just a 6′2″, 200 lb professional space bounty hunter she might need a little extra boost to compete in Smash Bros.

Well, Mario and Luigi are a pair of plumbers who aren’t in great shape…so for the next Smash Bros why not re-invent them to be more like this?  I mean that way they’d be fighting fit and the leather pants would provide protection!

It’s genius.
