I felt this one was worth bingo’ing specifically due to it having something in common with the Cammy pre-order outfit.  Apparently there is a real shortage of “crotch material” in the worlds of video games, and there is no limit to Sophita’s cruel transformation.

Designers, if you want to focus a costume on bits that you don’t have – consider doing some basic research on those bits.  Maybe ask some questions to people you know who have the bits.

For the good of everyone. Please.

Remember Crowfall? Since the last time we commented on it, the game grew a few more character options. Yet so far, the Assassin remains the same aggressively uncreative mix of a Warcraft elf, Black Canary and a drow. Plus (crow?) wings, splatter eye makeup/tattoo and a boob window, cause why the hell not.
With no improvement since Februrary, I thought I’d give her a try at the bingo.

I would gladly cross out “Looks nothing like the male version of the same outfit” square just by the virtue that so far most classes archetypes were designed relatively equal, but her people cheated out of it by being a female-only society.

As for the newer classes, Crowfall continues to be an uneven mix of designs that are nicely equal…

…ones that would be equal if less focus was put on female character boobs…

…(also why is male ranger allowed to be middle-aged while female one’s depicted as youthful and pretty?)…

….and this druid class, whose gender dimorphism status is stuck in the limbo until male version is revealed.

Here’s hoping the male druid would actually match her in the “vaguely forest-themed fancy fashion supermodel” department.

And since it’s an independent project that includes crowd-funding, I encourage everyone interested in becoming a backer to bring up the feedback

regarding character designs, both positive and negative, to the crew.

When you arrange the promo images like this it looks like Scarlett, the heroine of Venetica, got annoyed with her attire then went on a quest to find some worthwhile clothes – only to be stuck with boob armor.

It is completely unsurprising that everything promoting the game from the dialogue to the lazy exotification (the trailer seems to feature black people purely so they can make them look tribal and primitive compared to everyone else) to these designs.

Unsurprisingly – this game did not do very well.  Surprisingly, many developers still hope these will make their game do well… somehow.

Look, I like alliteration as much as the next person – but I feel the fact that they needed to add “Warrior” into Jessica’s summary says a lot about the design priorities here.

Biana’s design in particular looks like someone tried to make her practical but then was forced to swap out the pants with thigh highs.  Well, at least they didn’t put boobs on the weird blob thing.

drkory submitted:

Screenshots of my character in Skyforge. In this game there is no armor but costumes, I’ve taken screenshots of some examples. The first one is the least skimpy although it has boobplate. All available costumes come with high heels. The last one is leaving me speechless especially because of the fact that this game takes pride in “boobs jiggle physics”. It’s hard to believe how someone can fight in that thing without their jelly boobs jiggling out.

There are many videos on Youtube where you can see how the physics work, here is one where you can also see a few male character models and the double standard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZJ5sKsQ0_k

Oh Skyforge, will you never stop finding new an exciting ways to combine elements of different genres together while still implementing horrifying ideas on female armor and double standards?

No, seriously will you? Because the amount of work being invested in being terrible is kind of astonishing.
