Hello, dear friends. It certainly has been a while. I haven’t had a lot of time lately to be angry about costume things. But today, I found the time to get very mad about how terribly misunderstood boobs are, and how misrepresented the relationship between boobs and the people who have them is, especially by people who would design characters with boobs for video games.
So here is my attempt at explaining a few facets of the relationship between a person, their boobs, and clothes. Because like with any external, protruding organ (AHEM), barring some rare circumstances and exceptions (like red carpet events), you’d rather not spend the day constantly aware of its presence.
Okay here’s the revised version of the post about breasts and creating costumes that would be practical for a person with breasts doing rigorous video game actiony things. The OP changed some stuff to make clearer what they meant (there were some misconceptions, including that they were saying the breast shapes of the 3 images below were unrealistic when they were talking about the impracticality of the outfits for sustained physical activity) and I removed the old post on their request. 🙂
Reblogging again for anybody this might be useful for.
A little bit off-topic, but still relevant in many cases this blog discusses.
If we add ignorance of how boobs work to ignorance of how clothes made of metal work, the result very often is boobplate, very often with added ‘benefit’ of being unprobably skin-tight.
If this tutorial have been up earlier I would have linked it in my requested critique. What a handy guide!
Reblogging again for the revised version. Old post deleted already.

So yeah… Heroes of Order and Chaos is kind of interesting in that it’s very adamant that it’s the first MOBA on smartphone… and yet seems to be the most generic MOBA thought up by copying other MOBAs ads:
So naturally the most important design aspects for the female characters are boobs, legs, boobs, sameface, boobs and um… hair.
Dear The Chosen, I’m at a loss at words… Seriously, at this point why bother putting any clothes on them? Do they even wear anything below the waist? Just cut to the chase, and make straight out porn, who are you kidding with this “game”…?
Watching the video the women do seem to have more clothed versions as well, but all the screenshots and most of their video appearances feature the mostly naked version, clearly showing which one the developers felt more important. (Marked the “looks nothing like the male version” because, though not a single male character appears in CG form, the sprites look significantly more covered. Though they aren’t all necessarily the same outfit, but at least the “armoured” girl qualifies as roughly the same.)
For the record here are the more covered versions from the video:
Even these would manage to score a few marks on the bingo.
The combination of the highly original title and these screencaps makes me think that since this game is NOT a fantasy beauty pageant adventure (where 50% of the pageant is the swimsuit section).
Instead it’s apparently (based on reviews) a super generic RPG that asks the question “Will you become the Chosen?”, suggesting that they missed the whole point of being a “Chosen” is someone else chooses you.
Unsurprising that they chose to promote it by showing the characters transform from “fully” clad to underwear. It’s not like they bothered to offer anything else.
