Apparently girls don’t have skeletons. Only boobs and butts. The differences between genders is pretty bad for almost all the classes for this game, but this one was by far the worst.

Amazingly even though the male skeletonSram’s Shadow (presumably) has no genitalia to conceal, he still gets bigger and comfortable pants than the female generic sexy witchSram’s Shadow.
I wish I could be surprised that this comes from that this comes from the creators of Wakfu and that they well… chose this as a promotional image:
Even before we consider the “touch” aspect, that’s some serious @eschergirls anatomy she’s got going on there.
Concept: fantasy species where the ladies are nine-foot-tall horrors of teeth and claws and the men look like lithe twentysomething pretty-boys wearing body paint.
(Well, except for the Wise Elders. You can tell when a male is a Wise Elder because he looks mid thirties instead of early twenties and trades in the twinky underwear model aesthetic for a stubbly-yet-well-groomed Hot Dad vibe.)
This Friday, we continue the theme of suspicious dimorphism with this amazing sexy guy/monstrous lady subversion!
Sad part is, this idea shouldn’t only come up as a joke. There is no reason, other than blind belief that “sex sells” (to cishet dudes), for fantasy/sci-fi dimorphism to always make females look like conventionally attractive humans. Just think of all the genuinely creative world building possibilities that open up with fictional society where men take the Green Skinned Space Babe role, while women fill out all the more interesting alien race tropes.
I know it’s not armor but I HAD to Bingo it. I wasn’t sure how to call the garter/stocking leather boot-ish things that don’t actually go all the way down the leg. I also debated on the Skin tight square and the “How does it attach” (mostly due to those aforementioned stocking things) Given it’s Hellraiser, “Sharp Ornamental edges…” was kind of a given.
It’s kind of amazing that even the 90s comic was more committed to genuine “in your face” body horror and some originality that gave Clive Barker’s Cenobites their charm… this one looks like they decided that what horror fans really want is Lady Death cosplaying as Pinhead with a tiny bit of body horror hidden away on her back.
So it doesn’t scare anyone who wants to fap to it.
Time to spoil a seven year old game. Let’s talk about Kiera Stokes from FEAR 2: Project Origin
This is Lt Stokes
She is the only woman on the Dark Signal squad, and while technically her body armor covers the same spaces as her male counterparts, the game feels the need to have her undershirt not cover her stomach.
Naturally, she gets gut shot by recurring antagonist Aristide.
I can’t help but notice that they also decided that Stokes was the only one who didn’t need elbow length sleeves or elbow pads… presumably they were concerned that someone might mistake her for having arms with the kind of tone that tends to accompany intensive combat training.

If only the developers of these games were as socially aware as Epic NPC Man, they might avoid forcing him to hand out well… that.
At least he tried to avoid the embarrassing situation, which is more than we can say for so many developers with “fresh” ideas.
“Blood soaked grass is the telltale sign that a game of Kaosball has been played. From the bone crunching tackles, head smashing blocks, and outright murder of the other team to the fast paced passing and high scoring strategies, Kaosball is the ultimate sports fantasy game of total domination! Play as one of the great pop culture and fantasy themed teams in this crazy mix of football, rugby-style passing finesse, magic, bone crunching action and deadly area control scoring!”
I feel that their specific interpretation of some of the pop culture and fantasy tropes means some of these players are at a very distinct disadvantage and woefully unprepared for an ultra-violent ball game.
I also feel this has reached peak “not quite steampunk”
