They have to know. It’s important.
The Muscle Cuirass is truly an amazing type of artifact, not only for it’s direct comic potential but for the comedy of when apologists present it as their entire case for bikini armor being “historically accurate”.
Personally I think the best part about it is that nobody can actually prove this comic isn’t historically accurate – we know almost nothing about muscle cuirasses outside of ceremonial attire and can’t confirm anything about them being used or not being used on the battlefield.
One thing we do know though, is that the cultures that produced them were not adverse to nudity and not shy, so if they wanted to go full fabulous sexyempowering armor they would have.

While Rebecca’s cheerleader outfit seems like a terrible idea during a bio toxic zombie outbreak, I think we can all agree that Billy is empowered for the job

I’ve logged on into my steam account, got a link to the new Resident Evil’s pre-order page with this picture in it, and… May we discuss how refreshing it is to see a girl getting a normal (albeit a tad short) cheer leader costume, and a beefy dude getting this ridiculous belt bikini for his impressive pecs? I don’t really follow this franchise, but if there’s more of this in it, it may be worth following.
While it is nice that the RE guys remembered there is a definite demand for empowered men, it’s kind of telling that they had to give him that over the top gun to remind people “just because he’s sexy, doesn’t mean he’s not badass”… meanwhile Rebecca is literally Capcom’s cheerleader and merchandise model.

A rare moment when my enjoyment of Canadian sketch comedy and armor collide.

Some gems from http://www.howireally.com
I particularly like the second one notes that the world is ending outside and she hasn’t even finished gluing. Because really, a lot of the costumes we see would require a lot of carefully applied gluing, followed by very little moving, to stand a chance of staying on.
