Smosh just released this video, they make fun of different superhero topics, including female superhero armor.

I like how they take a jab at many questionable trends in superhero-related media, like the how white most superheroes are, how female characters don’t star in their own movies and the obligatory dead parents (content warning for that particular sketch’s ending). 

Though the bikini armor sketch above could be a bit less similar to College Humor’s classic Female Armor Sucks.

Considering Captain Man is completely okay with that, I’d love to see some fanart of him in Captain Woman’s bikini 😉

So this is the concept art for Mileena in Mortal Kombat X, they didn’t end up going with this design – they ended up with something much simpler… that shows even less understanding of how clothes, circulation and boobs work:

But then, that’s hardly surprising from a franchise where the best female outfits seem to be “cosplay” of male outfits.

Apparently this is coming to North America in Summer (the northern hemisphere’s summer).  Will this be the next game with a controversial localisation? 

I have to say, for a turn based game they seem to have spent a disproportionate amount of work on inventing fighting moves that flaunt leggy outfits and teasing upskirt shots.

Given that the game’s title is about how it’s a world ruled by dragons, and your goal being to get rid of dragons – the warriors who are going to jump around like that would get something other than short skirts… or whatever it is the rune-kinght has.

Etrian Odyssey

This is gonna come from a place of love, but still drives me crazy, but Etrian Odyssey has a real issue with being completely erratic on whether it wants to be practical or not.

On one hand you have characters like Guildmaster Marion

or classes like the Protector

And then there’s classes that just kinda… don’t

Granted, we get some manservice too

The part I find most amazing is that based off it’s promotional material, I would never have expected any manservice or whip wielding… well I’m not sure I want to know what she is, in the game. I mean look at the North America cover:

I can only imagine this leads to many awkward conversations with parents walking in when the wrong thing is on the screen.
