Lady… err… Lady from Shadow Hearts: From the New World has a truly perplexing outfit… it’s unclear if at any point there was thought put into what her outfit was for, if it had a message or anything other than how to avoid needing censor bars.
Certainly nothing about her outfit screams “Malice” to me… except perhaps malice against the audience who have to look at that outfit.

Sindell from Mortal Kombat is supposed to be a mystical queen of another world, yet has always been depicted as well, let’s just say “empowerment” isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. Particularly whens he’s on screen with other women from the series:

So, now that Mortal Kombat is blaming their own characters for the attire that the dev team put them in, and Sindel is supposed to be scarier than ever before (now that she’s once again an NPC). How do you suppose they decided to change her look for Mortal Kombat X?

I have to admit I’m kind of surprised they thought to add those straps to answer the question of “how does it attach”, though this is not the kind of progress that I consider worth celebrating.

leggomywaffle submitted (and Ozzie bingo’d):
Darkewood #3 of 5. A comic miniseries from 1988. Saw this while browsing through a comic section at a pawn shop. The more I look at this the more confused I get. Her bra is drawn in a way that makes it seem like it should be tight, but if you look at the bottom edges, it hangs way over her skin. She’s got a spider on her crotch that I hope is made of fabric and not metal or plastic, otherwise she’s in for some painful times. She doesn’t look too fit to be getting into a fight with the guy there. His little knife there would have a pretty easy time catching something vital. But she looks good (?) so I guess the artists thought it was okay.
While this title seems too obscure and long-forgotten to simply google the scanned cover, ComicVine came to help. I’m leaving in leggomywaffle‘s photo though, cause it’s still a higher quality image 🙂
She didn’t get a “no underwear” square only because this costume is basically fancy underwear and nothing more.

For this week’s bingo, let’s take another look at something that comes from Leap of Faith. Ouch, that one must really hurt!
An… interesting thing about the design is that the lore apparently explains the painful metal bits growing into her flesh with a demonic transformation:
Lost amid the ruins following Blackburn`s Uprising, a black book finds its way into the hands of an Elvish conjurer. The transformation begins as she embraces the dark power growing within.
Okay, so the body horror aspect of sharp metal jammed in her skin is the result of the book’s dark power, I can buy that alright… How does that explain why conveniently she gains an underboob, though? Other than the “evil is sexy” principle, I mean?
