Sindell from Mortal Kombat is supposed to be a mystical queen of another world, yet has always been depicted as well, let’s just say “empowerment” isn’t the first thing that comes to mind.  Particularly whens he’s on screen with other women from the series:

So, now that Mortal Kombat is blaming their own characters for the attire that the dev team put them in, and Sindel is supposed to be scarier than ever before (now that she’s once again an NPC). How do you suppose they decided to change her look for Mortal Kombat X?

I have to admit I’m kind of surprised they thought to add those straps to answer the question of “how does it attach”, though this is not the kind of progress that I consider worth celebrating.

Successive pictures show her as she levels up, so at least she isn’t getting skimpier at higher levels.

Dunno what’s more annoying about this design, the fact that despite gaining more clothes with level-ups she’s nonetheless sexualized or that the game is shitting on the good name of Queen Boudica.

Cause obviously, real warrior women of the history need to be either denied from ever existing or re-invented as generic erotica for the purposes of entertainment.

Funny (as in, not funny at all) thing about this series is also that

Saber

, the rare well-armored female character, happens to be an alias of a MALE semi-historical warrior, King Arthur.
