Television show creators mocking shitty comic book costumes before fixing them gives me life

There is truly no better way to let people know you’re aware of the other costume designs – and why you’re not using them.

Ironic thing is that the top costume looks rather modest and comfortable compared to what many superheroines (including DC-based ones) get to wear in the comics. Thankfully no-one could get away with that in a life-action show!

From the just announced Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final

The one on the far right is Nozomi, a demon hunter who was a minor character in IV who the protagonists assist in a sidequest chain.  The new game’s artwork switches her leather motorcycle gear (seen below) for a boob hugging sweater, hot pants, and thigh highs.  The only positive I can think of is they let her keep her shotgun.

It’s really disappointing.  Nozomi was one of the more likeable characters within IV, with her hobby of photography and her struggle to get stronger like the protagonist forming a concrete arc.

A person with decision making power actually concluded that skin-tight leather with extra straps to accentuate curves was not sexy and should be swapped out for a mini-dress with visible garter belts and thigh highs?

The kindest thing I can say about this armor is no high heels

R. Mika, after and before

(It’s not just that they made her show more breasts, more stomach, and… u-underarm? (Why did they-?), but the posing in the new shot is simply atrocious. Hands down.)

Oh Street Fighter… you were a pioneer franchise for the fighting game genre and now you’re trying to follow along with the Tekken and Soul Calibur… shame on you.
