R.I.P. Bingo.

Ah, Kanpani Girls, how we missed you. It’s been over a year since we last saw you, and you certainly have gotten…. sigh. Even though her heels aren’t that tall, it pisses me off that they added heels to historically flat footwear. I’m sure they help with agility or something. I also filled in “random patches of skin uncovered” because there was actually effort put in into showing some stomach. BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

Did we mention this game has “defeated” sprites for its eyecandy mercenaries?

But this is a deep strategy game, you guys. Very Serious Business. Especially with how the game actually looks:

Man, that brown and red outfit sure reminds me of something

Alisa Bosconovitch is an android, who despite being advanced enough to display complex emotions in decision making and think of herself as human is somehow unable to realize that her creator denied her all dignity.

The sign off team at Tekken 7 were also unable to discern the worrying implications of these kinds of designs on an android who is supposed to be modeled off the (in game) creator’s own daughter.

Finally, I may not have a Medical degree in Fashion from France, but I do believe these may be the worst heels/shoes ever conceived:

Seriously, these make even Bayonetta’s… err… Samusglowing pee powered, ankle breaking rocket pumps look well designed.

It’s been some time since I came across an “armor” so pointy, underbooby and uncovering all the vital parts. Truly a magnificent beast among the generic “sex sells” character designs.

Thanks joabobs for for the tip about Legacy of Discord. I was having fun with this bingo (picked out of several different options that were equally generic and lingerie-y) but then I found this image and I died a little more inside:

I mean, besides the hilariously obvious double standard, that… whatever it is she’s wearing is so uninspired, and the messy rendering makes me think they spent an entire 25 minutes on it because Creepy Marketing Guy wanted a Hot Chick™ on the advertisement. Her giant hat is the coolest thing about her design, but even that isn’t done well. Compare her to the guy on the right, who has what looks like a literal bear trap on his armor. I want one of those! (Also the shape language on him is just a lot clearer.)

I got distracted from the original point of this post, but do I really need to say more about Ms. Furious Wings up there besides Kerrigan Lingerie Victoria’s Secret Angel?

(Half-mark on the thong because it appears she has briefs with little windows to simulate the thong look. Just think, someone had to model that… and the mini underboob windows too.)

We’ve had a few people respond to the Nier Automata post with asks and submissions about the foul mouthed, incredibly violent sidekick from the original Nier game: Kaine.  (Trivia: Kaine is one of the very few canon intersex characters in video games, in one version of the game, which adds all kinds of baggage to this outfit and her depiction in general)

For those interested, this is the hero, Nier… both versions of him (It’s complicated and Kaine is dressed the same in both versions):

For those interested in how this went from being pulp fantasy to a cyberpunk war of androids in couture and VR goggles against alien robots… you can probably guess there is no simple explanation to anything.

Suffice to say though, Yoko Taro’s confession that he just likes putting sexy girls in his games was entirely unsurprising.

@kimarous submitted (and Ozzie bingo’d):

Ai-yi-yi… found this monstrosity while exploring the Sacred 2 wiki: the High Elf’s “Frozen Gems” equipment set. Double bingo at least, maybe even a triple. Bottom two rows for sure.

I’m only surprised her buttcheeks are covered properly. Going by the rest of this design, battle thong should be a given.

This bingo Sunday I decided to be experimental and compare SMITE’s The Morrigan with the character she’s clearly ripped off from… Morrigan.

The results were quite predictable. The SMITE version hits all the same squares (except boob window, cause that’s way beyond what “window” in clothing is) AND THEN SOME to the point of scoring a very common bingo row.
HiRez’s brand of sexualization is more bland than BioWare’s? Color me unsurprised.

No-one would ever argue the Dragon Age character’s costume is not sexualized, though at least it’s iconic enough to tell right away when someone’s shamelessly copying her. Also she knows what good pants are, that’s some compensation for the bizarre hood-scarf too 😉

So. I couldn’t find any screenshots of Mammon in action, but Trillion: God of Destruction assures me this is a combat themed game and that is what Mammon looks like on the battlefield.

You’d think with all that excess money she could afford some clothes.

This @eschergirls post made me seek out what’s up with art in that Zombicide expansion… Let’s agree the search wasn’t fruitless.

What do random physics-defying golden bikini boob-and-butt posing supermodels with viking-like names have to do with a tabletop game about zombie apocalypse is anyone’s guess.

PS: Before someone types out “there’s an empowered dude in the set!” as a response, take note how Konrad’s body is not displayed in the same manner  as Undraal’s and Arbwal’s. He’s basically over-accesorrized Conan (and also another Nord character with Pict blue tattoos, because screw research!).
