Tidy Up Tuesday #43

From time to time we receive questions relating to armor or battle in general, requests for feedback on designs or more in depth analysis of outfits that doesn’t really fit the focus of this blog.

So, wincenworks is now experimenting with a side blog that will focus on addressing those gaps – called, creatively enough: How do I armour and stuff? 

If you have sent any such requests or queries to BABD then please feel free to re-send them there (Tumblr really doesn’t facilitate cross blog submissions)

It has been brought to our attention that the recently featured US Avengers comic unfortunately greatly whitens Roberto da Costa – so while we love Toni’s armor we do not endorse the comic it’s unfortunately debuting in.

Tidy Up Tuesday #42

Sadly no, unless we missed something really big at Marvel Captain Peggy Carter the super soldier does not yet exist outside of Marvel Puzzle Quest.

On the topic of exotification, @daicalina made a lengthy but very worthwhile Twitter thread on the inclusion of Overwatch skins like Pharah’s Thunderbird and Rainmaker options.

We were glad to learn that the creator of @pointandclickbait addressed the hilarity of completely self-unaware responses to his Space Marines Can’t Be Female, Because Then I Would Need To Re-Think My Life article (which we referenced in this post) from the Warhammer 40k bros.

He was amused, but not surprised:

For Female Armor Bingo we will only publish submissions that are for commercial artworks, that means ones created as part of a product of some sort.  We won’t be publishing personal artworks even if they are by commercial artists and/or featured on portfolio sites such as Art Station or even the artist’s own site.

Tidy Up Tuesday #38

A reader asked:

Why do so many of the links on your posts just lead back to the post itself?

Seeing as it may be a common concern, especially with newer readers, we’ll answer here: It may look that way at the first glance, but we never link back to the post itself. Please check the url or scroll down and you’ll see that the link is to a tag, not to an individual post.

We publish only Bingo Sunday submissions that feature commercial art, not amateur/fan art. We can also postpone publishing bingos for other reasons, like the bingoed design not being awful enough to serve as a negative example, or if, due to our research into the piece, we have doubts if the author deserves harsh critique.
