I could have swore people told us SMITE was only about appropriate, non-sexualized nudity… does anyone know which museum is holding onto the bronze hotpants that they apparently wore in Ancient Egypt?
Also the presumably numerous papers on how they wore them without dying from chaffing?

Remember when people tried to say that SMITE wasn’t using tacky “sex sells” tactics, it was just historical authenticity because ancient cultures had different standards?

I love Smite to death, but their portrayals of females leave MUCH to be desired.
Oh SMITE, you neverending well of snore-inducing generic “sexyness” and casual cultural appropriation.
At this point the only thing worth pointing out about this is that for a figure from Chinese mythology, Nu Wa/Nüwa/Nügua here looks suspiciously white. And, traditionally for SMITE, any claim of this portrayal being “historically accurate” hinges on mass delusion (and probably a certain youtuber’s disproportionate popularity).
PS: No need to claim precede a valid critique with “I really love this thing to death, but…”

I can already hear dudebros scream that Freya was a sexual goddess so commenting on this outfit is slut shaming – but y’know what?
She was also a war goddess. Now I am quietly confident she didn’t turn up to her seductions in filthy heavy armor – I think it’s fair to say she wouldn’t show up onto the battlefield in her war lingerie.
