I don’t know if this has been submitted yet, but I remembered this PVC statue while I was browsing the Nightwing tag on this site. This is the DC Comics Ikemen Nightwing statue; and for those of you who don’t know, Ikemen means “handsome men”. They also made sure to put in some extra detail on this statue.
Oh, the detail on this statue is quite good indeed. Lovingly sculpted, even.
And although this isn’t quite the comfortable, confident pose Nightwing deserves, the classic empowered T&A pose is a good effort.

I’m actually a little offended because if there were ever a male Strong Female Character
it’d be Nightwing
Isn’t that right Karen?
IM A LITTLE BITTER NEGL dick grayson was doing the strong female character thing IN CANON way before anyone knew who clint barton was but WHATEVER FANDOM
WHATEVER
did I mention this isn’t fanart
really printed
ACTUAL POSE IN AN ACTUAL COMIC BOOK
tits and ASS
gratuitous and inhuman
losing clothes since 1980something
yet fandom still decides that CLINT BARTON is a better male Strong Female Character than this flawless prince smh
idg why or how that snub happened but I am protesting it
WE ALL KNOW WHO THE REAL WINNER IS
and did I mention CANON because
CANON MALE STRONG FEMALE CHARACTER
CLEAR WINNER BY A LONG SHOT
DICK GRAYSON PERIOD THE END
I love Hawkeye, and the Hawkeye initiative, but this post never fails to crack me up.
Artists, what are you doing?
I
STRONGLY
AGREE
WITH
EVERYTHING.
Not to mention a villain actually says “I’d know that ass anywhere” when seeing Dick Grayson from behind.
While it remains debatable how much Nightwing’s amazing body and empowered poses balance out how women around him are depicted, Dick Grayson undoubtedly is the closest that superhero comics have to offer for us as fanservice for readers interested in men.
The last, “I’d know that ass anywhere” image comes from his solo series that could easily be renamed "The Comic With Actual Male Objectification":

edit: Changed the Greyson comic montage to a vertical, more readable image.
Dick Grayson aka Nightwing
[Batsons Strip collection]
@bikiniarmorbattledamage Fully clothed but still sexualized: men’s edition.
Many people insist that Nightiwng is the one DC superhero who gets as close to pandering to female gaze as possible, cause some artists remember how good his butt looks in that bodypaint skin-tight costume…
I’d still say it’s the fan artists who really know best how to take advantage of Dick’s amazing physique by the way of pinup posing and sultry expressions – you know, those things female superheroes somehow keep doing even in the middle of action.

Bat family pretty boy Richard “Dick” Grayson (aka Nightwing, and sometimes aka Batman) often gets referenced as an example of a sexy man in comics and video games.
I feel that this cover, depicting three figures who are all supposed to be equipped and attired for super acrobatic combat shows why rushing to Nightwing as an example of men are sexaulized too is never a good idea.
