What does the male elf ad promise us? Magic, whimsy and wearable clothes!
What does the female elf ad promise? Boobs.

Personally I’m amused how the female elf ad has the fairy in the background to assure us there are at least two sexy ladies in this game.
And while it is true that Sword Art Online is supposed to be set in an iconic MMORPG – it’s also true that the avatars in it are supposed to reflect “real” appearances (all the women who play are sexy IRL… not so much with the dudes) and well, there’s shit like this:

Half-mark for the battle thong since while I can’t see the back, based off the front and the fact they basically avoided giving her pants – I feel pretty confident that’s a thong.
Also, briefly, let’s discuss possible interpretations of the wording/image matching on this particular set of promotions shown together on the site:
Setting aside the question of how does one justify the budget for modelling and rigging individual buttocks on models where the gameplay is basically Gauntlet but with a different theme: If one had to be so carefully sculpted I think it’s pretty clear which, but instead his is a solid block in the opening cutscene.
But don’t take take my word for it.
It’s almost like this kind of nonsense is a symptom of bad design priorities or something!
