I find it interesting that it looks like they decided to ignore the more modern wardrobe Mystique tends to enjoy (when she has clothes) and go with a more ridiculous variant on her original costume (conceived in the late 70s)

While one could could speculate that Mystique doesn’t need her dress to adhere to the laws of physics because she’s a shape shifter (in which case she may as well go nude ala the movie version) I wouldn’t recommend it.

Rather I’m just going to miss the brief period of where Marvel wasn’t afraid to give Mystique pants, and even sometimes let her shift into forms that were horrifying.
