This tweet was specifically inspired by the 2015 Erik Larsen claims that practical female costumes oppress the “real” comic reading audience, but it’s a good rule of thumb to follow anytime in

costume design.


Rereading that Erik Larsen tweet linked above, it reminded me that we sometimes get messages from people telling us that we shouldn’t take this silly subject of impractical lady character designs in media so seriously, to which all I have to say is: why do they take our blog’s existence so seriously? It’s just fictional characters, why get so worked up about them wearing practical clothes?
